We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA)

We have a membership of approximately 1,250 with a rich diversity of education, age, income and experience. Even though we have a deep sense of history and tradition we also recognize the need to be innovative in our worship services, ministries, music programs and mission projects. We are blessed with a caring and involved congregation, a talented and dedicated staff and a strong group of lay leaders.

We are a church with many young families

A large number of young families have been attracted to this congregation in recent years by our dynamic and innovative children’s education and music ministries. We are a vital and growing congregation in an established community.

We are an ecumenical church

Our church has become a home for many coming from other traditions, enriching us with a wide variety of beliefs, views, and biblical interpretations. We embrace people in all stages of faith development and from differing theological perspectives.

We are a community church

Many in our congregation are active in community, cultural, and service organizations.  Most of the members of First Presbyterian Church live within a 5 mile radius of the church. However, some families travel as much as 25 miles to participate in various programs.
