Family Life
at First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church values all families and we are
committed to providing a spiritually nurturing place for
families of all types.
Families come in all shapes and sizes. Two parents with one
or more children is a family. So are…a mother and a son…a father
and a daughter…grandparents and grandchildren they are
raising…siblings living together…an adult caring for an elderly
parent. Wherever people are committed to one another, be it as
blood relatives or in a covenant commitment to share the joys
and concerns of life, there is family.
We want you to know that your family is welcome at First
Presbyterian Church.
If you have children, they are welcome and encouraged to
participate in the life of our church. For specific information
on children’s programs,

program, click here.
Children are always welcome in our worship services and at
all of our church events and programs. Professional childcare is
usually provided for all events. Do not hesitate to call the
church office (843-8041) if you have questions regarding
childcare for a specific program.
Members of First Presbyterian Church who are in need of
special care are cared for by our Deacons and our pastors, and,
if necessary, by members of our Stephen Ministry program. Three
times each year the Deacons visit these members to serve
communion. Deacons also may deliver flowers or cookies or visit
and share prayer with our shut-ins.
Through the Mothers’ Bible Study, mothers have an opportunity
to come together in fellowship to learn the Bible, grow in
faith, and to meet other young Christian women in the community.
Childcare is provided.
Life in a family—whatever that looks like—is a blessing and a
challenge. No matter where you are in your family's life, you
will find encouragement and support here at First Presbyterian
Church.
