The Abendmusik (Evening Music) Concert Series was first introduced to the York community eleven years ago as an outreach program of First Presbyterian Church. Since that time, it has been our mission to expose our community to the dynamic ministry of First Presbyterian Church by offering a wide variety of quality musical programs
We have been able to present the concerts free of charge, with a free-will offering gratefully accepted, but not required. Free-will donations cover only a portion of the expense of this quality series of musical offerings.
We will begin the season with an encore performance by the Harmonic Brass of Munich, and end the season with our season’s fundraiser, Cabaret Night. In between you will find old favorites such as Jazz Vespers and the Phoenix Vocal Ensemble, as well as new performances by Wheatland Chorale and ETA-3. We will also present two concerts focusing on the talented youth in York - the Youth Talent Night Scholarship Concert, and a performance by the York County Honors Choir. We hope that you will join us for the upcoming season as we continue to celebrate “great music in a sacred space.
