Bible Study

We are a story-formed people. Our lives are shaped by narrative, not information. By learning the narratives of the Old and New Testament we begin to see our lives as part of a pattern within the larger story of redemption. Come, be a part of a Bible study where you can grow in your faith by knowing God’s story. The following Bible study groups are available to help you grow in your faith:

Pathfinders Bible Study

The Pathfinders’ Bible Study starts on Wednesday, September 6, at 1:00 in the Parlor. For the fall, the group will be exploring a DVD series called Twelve Women of the Bible:
Life-Changing Stories for Women Today
by Lisa Terkeust.

The group meets every first and third Wednesday of the month. Each time the group meets, they will study one of the twelve women and will be challenged and encouraged to face trials by drawing near to God.

Women at the Well

This Wednesday evening class for women is studying one passage from each book of the Bible as we trace the theme of redemptive history throughout the Bible. We begin with Ezra and Nehemiah for our first look at the post-exilic Jewish community. We’ll then explore the book of Job, the one remaining wisdom book we haven’t yet done before we move on to the prophets (those fabulously inspiring books). All women are welcome to join us on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:15 p.m. in Room 210.

Mother’s Bible Study (MOMs)

Meets each Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. in Christine Thomas Hall and is for moms of any age. Loving childcare continues to be offered with tasty refreshments for moms and kids alike. Come for study. Come for fellowship. Come for prayer and encouragement in your Christian walk. You will be warmly welcomed. If you have any questions, contact Heidi Cavanaugh (225-6631) or Katie Berkebile (747-8929).
