First Presbyterian Church (FPC) offers the full benefit of the Church’s ministry to its members.  A wedding is a sacred occasion and a worship service.  Everything that is planned as part of the service should be with this objective in mind and in accordance with the doctrines, beliefs, and regular worship practices of First Presbyterian Church.

Requirements to Obtain a Marriage License

 

Weddings cannot be scheduled on:

  • New Years Eve or New Years Day
  • Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, the Saturday before Easter, Easter
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

 

Wedding Music:  It is the responsibility of the couple to contact the Director of Music 6-8 weeks before the ceremony to select appropriate instrumental and vocal music.  The use of pre-recorded music is not allowed in the church for any wedding service.

Alcoholic Beverages:  No alcoholic beverages may be served or consumed on the church premises at any time.

Rice/Birdseed/Confetti:  No rice, birdseed, or confetti can be thrown on church grounds.

 

The Sanctuary:     

                                    seating capacity of 500 people

                                    21 pews on east and west sides

                                    19 pews in the center

                                    Aisles are 60 feet long

 

The Chapel:

                                  seating capacity of 132 people

                                   22 pews

                                  Center aisle is 54 ft to bottom of steps

                                  Center aisle is 65.5 ft to Communion table
